| 3/4 | cup shortening |
| 1 | cup brown sugar, packed |
| 1/2 | cup granulated sugar |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 | tsp. vanilla |
| 1 | cup all purpose flour |
| 1 | tsp. salt |
| 1 | tsp. cinnamon |
| 1 | tsp. baking soda |
| 1/2 | tsp. cloves |
| 1 | cup raisins |
| 1 | cup chopped nuts |
| 3 | cups quick-cooking oats |
| 1 | cup mashed bananas |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix shortening, sugars, egg, baking soda and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 1 inch apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched by a finger. Immediately remove from baking sheet. Store in tightly covered container.
