Our Community, Our Game, Our Night!
By Atlanta Cup Founder Jason Dolan

The 2026 Atlanta Cup is a night for the Atlanta tennis community to come together to celebrate the game we love. One night a year, the teams you play against, the partners you’ve shared a court with, and the players who learned the game on the same courts you did fill Gas South Arena for something built entirely around this city and its incredible tennis culture.

On Friday, December 4, that night returns — and after last year’s inaugural Cup drew more than 7,300 fans, the largest crowd for a professional tennis event in Atlanta’s 50-plus years of hosting, year two arrives with four of American tennis’ biggest names: Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Amanda Anisimova, and hometown favorite Taylor Townsend.

“This event is the annual celebration of the entire Atlanta community, and it’s always a priority for me to see that everyone’s represented — on the court, in the stands, and throughout the night,” said Atlanta Cup Founder Jason Dolan.

And that spirit extends to the music. For the first time at a professional tennis event, a full orchestra will share the arena with the players: the Atlanta Renaissance Orchestra — “The People’s Orchestra” — the 18-piece collective founded by Tyrone “OG” Bowie that has gone viral reimagining classical strings and horns through hip-hop, R&B, and soul. The orchestra will perform before the first ball is struck and throughout the evening, giving the night a sound that could only come from this city.

On court, the women’s match brings home one of the game’s remarkable stories. Townsend, the Atlanta-raised former doubles world No. 1, arrives fresh off the US Open doubles title that completed her Career Grand Slam. She faces Anisimova, a two-time Grand Slam finalist. On the men’s side, Fritz — a US Open and ATP Finals finalist — meets Paul, an Australian Open semifinalist and five-time ATP Tour champion, in a showdown between two Olympic teammates.

As the nation’s largest community tennis league, ALTA remains at the heart of the city’s tennis culture. Supporting The Atlanta Cup reflects ALTA’s mission of growing the game and ensuring tennis thrives in Atlanta for generations to come.
