Hot Honey Ginger Citrus Elixir

Ginger tea

Thanh Thai, WP Jones Mixed Doubles B4

2 cups hot water (just off the boil)
1-inch piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
Juice of 1 orange (or 1/2 orange + 1/2 lemon for extra tang)
1 Tbsp. honey (or more if you’re sweet like your drop shot)
A pinch of cayenne or cinnamon (optional, for that inside-out forehand heat)
Fresh mint leaves (optional cool finish)

In your travel mug or thermos, steep the ginger in hot water for 3 to 5 minutes. Add citrus juice, honey, and spice. Stir well until honey dissolves. Toss in mint if desired, seal the lid, and shake lightly (bonus arm warm-up). Sip courtside between games — it will warm your hands and your motivation.
