The BB&T Atlanta Open July 22-30 at Atlantic Station will be back and better than ever this year. 2016 was another successful year for Atlanta’s top professional tennis event with thousands of fans packing Atlantic Station to witness Australian star Nick Kyrgios take down former University of Georgia Bulldog and American No. 1 John Isner to win his third career title.

What to Expect in 2017
Another Loaded Player Field: Kyrgios will return in 2017, as will the greatest doubles team of all time, Bob and Mike Bryan. Joining these stars will be the torchbearers for the next generation of American tennis: 2016 semifinalist Reilly Opelka and fellow teenager Taylor Fritz.
New VIP Stadium Club: Fans can relax inside the stadium with air conditioned tables, an open bar and food from some of the area’s top restaurants and chefs — luxury tennis at its finest.
Local Wild Card Challenge: Once again, a local tennis player can earn his way into the BB&T Atlanta Open qualifying, and potentially even the main draw, as Georgia Tech star Chris Eubanks did in 2016.
Adjusted Sunday Final: Sunday’s singles final will be played at 5 p.m. to help address some of the early afternoon heat and hit a primetime audience on ESPN2.
Road to the US Open Stars Here: The BB&T Atlanta Open will again kickoff the US Open Series as the first hardcourt stop for players on the road to New York City and the US Open.

Special Events
The BB&T Atlanta Open will be filled with nine days of exciting special events, including:
July 22-23, Kids’ Weekend: During the qualifying rounds, kids will get in free with a paying adult.
July 24, ALTA Night & Opening Ceremonies: ALTA members receive a 25 percent discount for the opening ceremony session.
July 25, College Night: Come cheer on a local college tennis player who will be featured in an evening singles match.
July 27, Ladies’ Day: Don’t miss a delicious lunch with a VIP tennis personality, seats in a VIP suite with massage service and drinks.
July 28, Friday Night Fireworks: The Coca-Cola Company will once again present the spectacular fireworks show.
July 30, BB&T Champions Day: As part of the Sunday singles and doubles finals, a BB&T Champion of our Community will be recognized. Previous winners include former Atlanta mayors Andrew Young and Sam Massell and Alana Shepherd, co-founder of The Shepherd Center.
