Who’s ready for fall tennis? Let’s go! This time of year provides perfect weather for your team to get going as we all pump up for a potential City Finals berth.

Captains: You all have rosters in! Reminder: You still can add players. Find someone who’s not on a team yet and get them involved.

Things to remember this season:

  • The home team provides the balls. I always have extra on hand, and of course keep your warm-up balls separate.
  • Captains: Get your team on board and have a nice spread of food/beverage for all players. This is the courteous thing to do and represents your team and club well.
  • Changes from last season: Mix up the line up. Change partnerships. This keeps it all new and fun.
  • Support your team. Lines 4 and 5 usually go on last, and most of the time the rest of the team has left. Stay and watch! Support and cheer!

Fall tennis in Atlanta is some of the best world-wide. It’s incredible and so much fun. Stay competitive and humble, play with your teammates and good luck! Finals will be here before you know it.
