A growing list of metro Atlanta tennis clubs are going mobile with their court scheduling. A court booking and tennis club management application known as Kourts (www.kourts.com.) was first introduced to the Atlanta tennis community last July through a partnership with the BB&T Atlanta Open. Now, at least 12 clubs, including the Ansley Country Club, Peachtree City Tennis Center and Druid Hills Country Club, have signed on to provide the service to their members.

According to the mobile application’s developer, Kourts is the “OpenTable for Tennis,” making playing more accessible to a mass audience and paving the way for clubs to have a much-needed integration into the digital age. The app is available to both iPhone and Android users.

The Kourts Player and Instructor App makes it easy to book courts, clinics, private lessons, and hold tennis events at Atlanta clubs for both members and non-members. For tennis clubs, Kourts serves as a solution to digitize operations, to improve member experiences and to expand occupancy rates for both public and private facilities. In line with delivering convenience, clubs also are able to use a complete reporting system that saves precious hours from manual administrative work, as well as setting custom rules that fit their needs – from cancellation policy to number of days a player can book.

“The Kourts software system is the most user-friendly program we have experienced,” said Jonathan Fralick, general manager Peachtree City Tennis Center in Peachtree City. “Balancing 180 travel teams and 800 juniors, this system does it all. We are much more efficient as an operation, and our communication between staff members is streamlined.”
